Abstract

In this article, the bending process of a rectangular plate under external load is studied both theoretically and practically. The deformation process is based on the theory of elasticity and involves a structural element in the form of a thin rectangular plate with constant thickness. The magnitude of deflection, bending angle, and distribution of internal stresses in the plate under static loading are presented using analytical and graphical methods. The obtained results have practical significance for selecting the optimal shape and material in the design of mechanical structures, as well as in the fields of construction and mechanical engineering
