Abstract

In recent years, the rapid assimilation of valuable agricultural information from satellite images has been observed. However, manual analysis of these images takes a lot of time and energy. Accurate segmentation of object contours is extremely important in automating image processing, especially in accurate segmentation and recognition. This research work is devoted to the comparative analysis of the methods of determining the contours of the image object, in which the evaluation was carried out by pixel comparison to determine the most effective method, and a new approach was proposed based on the image quality index. Based on this approach, object contours in satellite images were used.
