Abstract

This article analyzes the architecture, operational mechanisms, and practical effectiveness of the main secure communication protocols used in modern video surveillance systems: TLS/HTTPS, SRTP, and ONVIF Security. It examines the technical foundations for ensuring data confidentiality, integrity, and authentication during interactions between IP cameras, NVR/DVR devices, mobile clients, and cloud-based video management systems. The cryptographic algorithms of the protocols, session management, key exchange, resource requirements, and potential vulnerabilities are covered in detail.
