ADAPTIVE CONTROL OF ELECTRIC COTTON DRYER USING MACHINE LEARNING METHODS

Abstract

This paper presents the development of an adaptive control system for an electric cotton dryer based on the ESP32 microcontroller with power regulation via a dimmer. An empirical model for calculating the coolant temperature depending on cotton moisture and drum productivity has been constructed: T=16.21×W0.523×P0.317, where W  is the initial cotton moisture and P is productivity. An adaptive temperature correction system has been developed, operating on the principle of neural network learning, which automatically compensates for unaccounted factors in the drying process. Heater power regulation is carried out through a dimmer,  reducing energy consumption by 15-18% compared to relay control.
