This article presents a detailed analysis of the security characteristics of the NSA (New Stream Algorithm) stream cipher, with particular focus on the resilience of its reflection and buffer-update mechanisms against cryptanalytic attacks. The structure of the algorithm is examined, including non-linear transformations based on S-boxes and MDS matrices, as well as the inverse analytical approach to the F-function. The paper also explores potential attack strategies and methods for reconstructing the cipher’s internal state. The results demonstrate that the NSA algorithm is a promising solution for modern information security applications.
