METHODS OF NUMERICAL EVALUATION OF SHAPE RETAINING PROPERTIES OF KNITTED FABRICS

The objective of this study is to develop methods for numerical evaluation of fabric shrinkage and damage using image analysis. The developed evaluation method gives a value that differs less than 1 mm from the actual measured value, which confirms its significance. In order to develop a damage assessment method using real fabric, the area change caused by loosening the threads in the holes of a typical product is evaluated. The area change in the developed method and the number of loose threads in the traditional method have a high correlation. Comparing the number of dots on the test fabric before and after measurement allows you to distinguish the dots created incorrectly during the production process and accurately measure the number of missing dots, the result will be similar to the actual measurement. Digitization of the evaluation method can contribute to the digital transformation of clothing quality evaluation by reducing labor and errors among evaluators
